Sierra Leone's President, Dr. Julius Maada Bio, will be hosting his first-ever National Town Hall Meeting tomorrow, July 23, 2024, at the Bintumani Conference Centre in Freetown. This landmark event, organized under the leadership of the Minister of Information and Civic Education (MOiCE), Chernor Bah, will mark a significant moment in the president's second term.

The Town Hall Meeting aims to provide a platform for President Bio to engage directly with Sierra Leonean citizens. It will offer an opportunity for the President to discuss his first year in office, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and progress in the government’s flagship Big 5 game changer projects.

“The President is eager to have a direct conversation with citizens about his progress over the past year. He will use this historic event to review some of the major accomplishments and ongoing challenges,” Minister of Information Chernor Bah stated during a recent appearance on the SLBC 99.9 radio program, “Morning Coffee.”

The Town Hall Meeting will cover four primary areas:
1. Foreign Affairs ๐ŸŒ
2. The Economy and the Big 5 Game Changer Projects ๐Ÿ’ผ
3. Peace and National Cohesion ๐Ÿ•Š️
4. Civic Call to Action๐Ÿ“ข

The event will be broadcast live across the nation on television and radio stations. It will also be streamed live on Facebook via the Ministry’s website. Additionally, community radio stations throughout Sierra Leone will simulcast the event to ensure widespread access.

Citizens are encouraged to participate actively by submitting their questions ahead of time. A dedicated web link and a toll-free hotline have been established for this purpose. The Ministry of Information is committed to ensuring that every voice is heard and valued during this significant dialogue.

This Town Hall Meeting represents a crucial moment for Sierra Leoneans to engage with their President and contribute to the nation's development. Your participation and contributions could play a vital role in driving positive change for our country.
